Writing Group
We’ll be meeting weekly with the first meeting being on Saturday, February 4th at 10 am at Wegmans.
Our hope is to have a group of about 10. The idea is that we’ll get together every week, discuss a short story, and have a short writing exercise. Then, we’d like to showcase the writing of 2 people, and we’re asking for 10 typed pages of any kind of writing (songs, poems, short stories, etc.). Once we have a solid idea of who is interested and who will be at the first meeting, we’ll pick two names from a hat and then let people know whose writing will be submitted for feedback!

This is a day trip for skiing (both nordic and alpine) and snowboarding at Blue Knob Mountain, PA. All levels of experience are welcome. Saturday, February 25th from 9am-10pm.
If you have never been to Blue Knob, it is apparently Pennsylvania’s best kept secret.
Lift tickets are $55 each, and if you have t
o rent equipment, skis are an additional $30, and snowboards are an additional $42 (discrimination at its best).
(If we can get 20 people, we can get a group rate of $45 per lift ticket and additional for rentals at $25 and $36 respectively. Plan for no group rate, but if we get it, then that is wonderful!)
We can get in about 10 hours at the mountain, so there will be lots of skiing.
For more info, check out http://www.blueknob.com
We will be meeting at the Walmart parking lot on North Atherton, directly behind the bus stop there, at 8:45am to carpool to the mountain.
We need people to volunteer to drive. If you are not planning on driving, please bring a few extra dollars to contribute to your driver for gas money.
